About The Village Sound for the People
The Village Sound for the People was created to serve as a voice, resource, and support system for individuals and families throughout Connecticut. The organization is centered on mental health advocacy, community care, wellness education, and creating access to resources for those who need them most.
Through wellness events, community giveaways, meditation, food support, family-centered programs, and partnerships with trusted professionals, the organization meets people where they are and helps them move toward healing, stability, and hope.

Shavonne Miller
Founder, The Village Sound for the People
Shavonne Miller is a dedicated community advocate with more than ten years of experience serving low-income and underserved communities throughout Connecticut. Her work is rooted in compassion, service, and a deep commitment to helping families access support, resources, and opportunities.
In addition to her community advocacy, Shavonne has spent more than 20 years in education management, serving in leadership roles including Admissions Director. Throughout her career, she has received several accolades for her contributions to education, student support, and community impact.
Through The Village Sound for the People, Shavonne continues her mission of lifting communities, creating safe spaces, and reminding every person that they are valued.

Featured outreach that moved a community.
Shavonne Miller has been involved in large-scale community outreach efforts featured by WFSB, including a holiday giveaway that supported more than 800 children and distributed 1,800 toys to families in need. The event also included food, music, free haircuts, visits with Santa, and family-centered holiday activities.
